Jesus said: “If you [really] love Me, you will keep and obey My commandments.” (John 14:15)
Did you know that Jesus’s disciples were all under the age of 20. It took 3 years for Jesus to train them. In those days Jewish
schooling normally finished at the age of 12. A young man, in Jewish tradition, began following a Rabbi (teacher) from the age of 12. That would make most of the
disciples teenagers when Jesus called them to follow Him. When
commissioning the disciples Jesus commanded them to make disciples. This was done by
baptizing them and teaching them the commands that Jesus taught them.
All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.
